2015 ANNUAL REPORT OF THE MAINE STATE FIRE MARSHAL
In this report Maine residents and visitors are provided with detailed data on 121,958 valid incidents reported to our office by 202 Maine fire departments. The data provides the reader with a picture of the impact of fire on our state.

2016 NFPA Home Structure Report
Most structure fires, fire deaths and fire injuries occur in the home. Using data from the U.S. Fire Administration’s National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) and the National Fire Protection Association’s fire department experience survey, this analysis of frequency, causes and circumstances of home fires and losses can inform prevention efforts.
